Work Tasks

• Study how much money a business makes and spends
• Suggest ways to make more money
• Make sure budget estimates for the year coming up are complete and correct
• Look at how close estimates turn out to be
• Work for the government, schools, hospitals, banks, other financial institutions, nonprofit organizations, manufacturers, and many other businesses
• Work with past and present budgets, accounting records, and computers

Education/Training

• Minimum for Entry: A 4-year degree in business or related field
• Employers Prefer: A master's degree business
