Work Tasks
- Look at the past credit history of people who apply for credit
- Verify credit information and decide if a person should get a loan or not
- Make sure loan papers are filled out completely and correctly
- Work in banks, insurance companies, real estate firms, wholesale and retail stores, credit reporting and collection agencies
- Work with credit histories, records, credit card and loan applications, bank statements, tax forms, computers, and telephones

Education/Training
- Minimum for Entry: A high school diploma and on-the-job training
