- Plan ways to raise money for schools, churches, hospitals, museums, and other causes
- Do research to find people and businesses that can donate a lot of money
- Plan and advertise annual fund-raising events
- Put together mailing lists and keep track of how much money has been made
- Work for schools, churches, hospitals, museums, theaters, research foundations, and other charitable organizations and groups
- Work with telephones, newspaper articles, magazine articles, large mailings, pamphlets, brochures, and computers
