Work Tasks
- Run gaming tables in casinos
- Exchange money for chips, pay winning bets, and collect losing bets
- Make sure people are following game rules
- Work for casinos in Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and several other states
- Work with gaming chips, money, cards, dice, roulette wheels, dealing boxes, sticks to collect dice from the tables, bingo cards, and keno tickets

Education/Training
- Minimum for Entry: A high school diploma for entry level positions, plus good basic math skills
- Employers Prefer: A 2-year or 4-year degree in a hospitality or gaming related field
- Skills/Courses: Courses include gaming supervision, slot attendant and slot repair technician work, slot department management, and surveillance and security.
- Certification/Licensing: Most gaming dealers are certified.
