Work Tasks
- Sort and deliver mail to people and offices in the company where they work
- Get mail ready to go to the post office
- May use machines which put pages in order, fold, and put items to be mailed in envelopes
- Use computers to keep records of mail
- Work for financial and legal services, hospitals, medical labs, the government, schools, and all kinds of businesses
- Work with mail, postage stamps, letter openers, scales, and machines that fold, address, and seal mail

- $28,500 average per year ($13.75 per hour)

Education/Training
- Minimum for Entry: On-the-job training
- Employers Prefer: A high school diploma; reading and writing English
