Work Tasks
- Run daycare centers for children and adults
- Supervise children or adults and make sure state laws and regulations are followed
- Cook and serve meals, guide social activities, lead craft projects, and direct exercise programs
- Help adults and children in their daily activities
- Work for themselves, running daycare centers for adults and children
- Work with adults, children, food and special diets, cleaning and laundry items, personal care items, medicines, and games and equipment for recreation and social activities

Education/Training
- Minimum for Entry: A 2-year degree in a health care field

- Certification/Licensing: Licensing is required to operate a daycare center. A First Aid Certificate is needed and proof of current good health (signed by a physician) is necessary.
