Work Tasks
- Operate a console to control the volume level and sound for movies, TV and radio shows, and recording artists
- Find out what sounds are best by adjusting the controls
- Place microphones and amplifiers in the right places for good sound
- Copy and edit recordings, using sound equipment and computers
- Work for radio, TV, or movie companies, recording companies, or theaters
- Work with TV cameras, microphones, tape recorders, lighting and sound effects, transmitters, antennas, control panels, special effects equipment, movie sound tracks, and computers
