Work Tasks
- Study the speed and amount of traffic, and the causes of traffic problems
- Make sure signs, signals, and markings follow the laws, and roads are wide enough
- Draw the area studied and make graphs and charts to show findings
- Suggest changes to improve traffic and rules
- Work for federal, state, and local government or engineering or construction companies
- Work with timers, radar, stopwatches, graphs, charts, and computers
