Financial Transactions Profile

Photo of Jim HemmingsJim Hemmings is an auditor for a large company. He verifies the accuracy of records and checks for mismanagement, waste, and fraud. He examines and evaluates his firm's financial and information systems, management procedures, and internal controls to ensure that records are accurate and controls are adequate to protect against fraud and waste.

He also reviews company operations, evaluating their efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with corporate policies and procedures, laws, and government regulations. Often Jim works on several audits at once. He enjoys working for a prestigious company and the intellectual stimulation his job brings.

He dislikes the constant pressure he is under and having to make co-workers feel uncomfortable by asking for their records.
