Mechanical & Electrical Specialties Profile

Photo of Connie FranklinConnie Franklin is a locksmith. She is responsible for modifying and repairing locks, deadbolts, and other locking devices for government buildings and monuments. Locksmiths like Connie open locks for which there are no keys and fit or make keys for locks when the keys have been lost or stolen. Locksmiths make master key systems for hundreds of keys and locks, all separately keyed but opened by one master key. Her favorite part of her job is helping people in distress and providing an appreciated service. She also likes the stability of working for the city where she has been employed for 15 years. Her least favorite part of the job is the long commute from her suburban home to work every day.
