Natural Science & Technologies Profile

Photo of Heinrik IbsenHeinrik Ibsen is a materials scientist. He works with astronomers and engineers in research and development for a medium-sized private company that manufactures equipment for astronomers. He and his group find ways to apply physical laws and theories to problems in electronics, optics, materials, communications, aerospace technology, navigation equipment, and information systems. He enjoys the challenge of finding new ways of doing things, the short commute from his home to work, and contributing to society. He dislikes having to go through a chain of command to make decisions and sometimes feels that his ability to use his creativity is limited.
