Applied Arts (Visual) Profile

Photo of Leonard ArtemideLeonard Artemide is a freelance photographer. He takes photographs that are used in commercials, magazines, and other print advertisements. As a photographer, he chooses a subject, presents the subject to achieve a certain effect, and selects the equipment to accomplish the desired goal. He uses special lenses and lighting to enhance the subject's appearance. He processes the film in his darkroom so that he can control the final product. He enjoys telling a story and creating moods with the camera. Since he works for clients, he admits that sometimes too many people are involved in making decisions. He also dislikes not knowing when he will work and organizing his schedule around various projects.
