Vice President, Marketing and External Affairs
Charles Merritt leads ACT’s Marketing and External Affairs teams responsible for Strategic Marketing, Strategic Communications, Federal Government Relations, Event Planning Services, and engagement with state organizations and higher education stakeholders. Charles leverages 20 years of experience leading and managing operations, sales, policy, communications, marketing, and vendor relations in service to ACT’s mission and vision for education and workplace success.
Before joining ACT in 2013, Charles led sales, policy, and government relations for major policy and educational services organizations supporting educators and policymakers at the local, state, federal, and global levels of education and workforce development. Charles uses his educational services industry, market, and field expertise to implement integrated and innovative marketing and external engagement strategies that enable ACT to pursue a leaner-centered approach to serving learners and stakeholders.
