Retest Exception Request

To maintain the security of the test, ACT restricts the number of times an examinee may take the ACT to a total of 12 times. This restriction applies even if your scores from a test date are cancelled by you or by ACT. In calculating the 12-test total, ACT makes exceptions for State and District Testing required by your state's department of education, your district, or tests taken as a young examinee through an academic talent search organization.
