MATERIAL HANDLERS load, unload, and move stock to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, and containers. Specialized workers within this group include baggage and cargo handlers, and truck loaders and unloaders. They move materials by hand or with forklifts, dollies, hand trucks, or carts. In factories, material handlers may move raw materials, parts, and finished goods between work and storage areas, and loading docks. Tank, car, truck, and ship loaders operate shiploading and unloading equipment, conveyors, and hoists.
