Work Tasks

WRITERS/AUTHORS communicate through the written word. They develop original fiction or non-fiction prose for books, magazines, newspapers, on-line publications, radio/TV broadcasts, and numerous others in the form of essays, short stories, novels, etc. Most writers use personal computers, desktop publishing systems, and other electronic communications equipment, or prepare material directly for the Internet. Before they begin to write anything, writers first select a topic. They develop an outline and then add words to convey a story to readers. They review, revise, make corrections, or rewrite sections before submitting for publication.
