IOWA CITY, Iowa—ACT, Inc., has selected LaMar C. Bunts to lead its International Programs, which offers education and workforce services to organizations across the globe.
Most recently, Bunts was chief financial officer at Dell, Inc.’s End User Services (EUS) Field Services unit, where he drove strategy and finance for the field services outsourcing startup and led business development in Latin America. Prior to his years at Dell, Bunts helped develop growth businesses internationally at Silicon Graphics (SGI) and ITM Software.
At ACT, he will lead the development of an international strategy that focuses on dynamic growth opportunities. As ACT implements its recently announced kindergarten-through-career product offerings, Bunts and his team will work with all divisions of the company to apply ACT’s expertise abroad and advance those opportunities to serve individuals and organizations outside the United States.
ACT chief executive officer Jon Whitmore said, “We look forward to welcoming LaMar to ACT. His experience at Dell and other technology firms, as well as his deep knowledge and expertise leading initiatives outside the United States will be key to the strategic growth of ACT globally.”
Bunts holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Harvard University and an MBA from Stanford University.
