At ACT, our goals are to build upon our strong position as a market leader and to advance our mission of helping people achieve education and workplace success. To do so, we must continue to innovate and invest in our business. We must also deal with operational and competitive realities that face us.
The education and workplace assessment industry is competitive and ever-evolving. After a careful analysis of our current organizational structure and future growth opportunities, we made the difficult decision to eliminate 80 positions.
These reductions were considered only after we implemented other avenues for streamlining operations. We are making these changes to ensure ACT is well positioned to grow and compete in the future.
We sincerely regret the impact of these actions on valued departing team members. We recognize this situation will present challenges to them and their families, and we are committed to supporting them in the weeks ahead. We are providing severance packages that exceed industry norms as well as free outplacement services and additional career transition support.
We are focused on doing right by our ACT team members—both those departing and those remaining—and continue in our commitment to customers, partners, the industry, and the Iowa City community.
The outlook for ACT remains bright. Though these changes are difficult, we believe they are necessary to ensure that ACT remains a thriving, successful organization and employer in the coming decades.
