Test Administration Process Next Steps

Select your current phase of the test administration process to see resources related to that phase.

Step 1: Orientation - Learn about test formats and policies; select test dates and provide shipping information; select test staff and set up accounts.

Step 2: Configuration -  Upload student data records; verify enrollment for test materials;complete online site readiness.

Step 3: Accommodation - Learn about accessibility supports; request accommodations and/or supports; request qualified exceptions to the deadline.

Step 4: Preparation - Order test materials; complete non-test activities; provide examinees test prep information; prepare your facility, staff, and materials; update examinee information; create online test sessions.

Step 5: Administration - Administer the test.

Step 6: Transportation: Return test materials; purge online testing content.

Step 7: Interpretation - Access and understand score reports; share reporting information with examinees.

Account access for the 2021-2022 cycle provided August 30, 2021 via email and is valid August 30, 2021 - June 30, 2022.

Step 1: Orientation

Before Testing: Get started with your testing program.

Activity: Learn about WorkKeys Curriculum

ACT WorkKeys Curriculum® helps individuals build the essential career-relevant skills needed for learning, personal development, and effective job performance. It’s the only curriculum built from the ground up to align with the ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate (ACT NCRC®) assessments. The courses are delivered via a personalized, mobile-based learning management system. The platform delivers a meaningful learning experience and provides users with a customized study schedule and detailed instructional content.

Courses available:

*Applied Math: Builds the ability to apply mathematic principles to problems encountered in the workplace

*Graphic Literacy: Builds the ability to find, analyze and apply information presented in workplace graphics

Before Testing: Ensure systems are set up and data is submitted for testing.

Tip: Allowing early access for students will provide the most prep time before test day.

Technical Requirements:

ACT WorkKeys Curriculum is a completely web-based program that doesn't need to be downloaded to a computer. It runs from any of the following web browsers via Windows or Mac:

*Google Chrome (recommended)

*Safari

*Firefox 

*Internet Explorer 10+

Note: Support will be provided for the current versions (and previous two) of Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari."

Step 3: Accommodation

Before Testing: Identify student needs for accommodations and/or supports.

Activity: Arrange for Accommodations and/or English Learner (EL) Supports

  • There are embedded support tools available within the Curriculum system. 
  • There are no designated courses reserved for students with accommodations.

Step 4: Preparation

Before Testing: Prepare students, staff, facilities, and materials for testing.

After Testing: Send materials and data back to ACT.

Return Materials/Transfer Data

There is no sending materials or data back to ACT after taking courses.

After Testing: Interpret score reports and test data.
